Thank you for your thoughtful comment. ...Renee Ann,
Thank you for your thoughtful comment. I am seeing analogies to writing in every part of my life! And I like you, I think I like the grandkids toys as much as they do. What is interesting to me though is that the picture drew you in. I am trying to make my pictures interesting enough to grab readers and post them on Pinterest. You are the first person who has acknowledged that, however. thanks for the response. I write this stuff and sometimes wonder if anyone is out there!A Novel Creationhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01616233478874667105noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2697075022685864842.post-60315911331707947432013-07-20T17:15:56.555-07:002013-07-20T17:15:56.555-07:00Very interesting post, Rebecca.
What got me atte...Very interesting post, Rebecca.

What got me attention in the first place is the train. I have a similar set for my grandson and sometimes I think I like it more than he does. :)

But what a wonderful analogy you make, in comparing setting up the train set and writing a novel. I never would have looked at it this way but it has so many similarities. A plain oval track is boring, it just goes around and around. But when you add the twists and turns, a hill/bridge, that's when you capture the child's attention.

In the same way, that's how we grab (and keep) the readers attention.

Thanks for an awesome post. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
